Florida Company Develops Unique Coatings for Purifying the Air

RIVIERA BEACH, Fla., March 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Ron Fink, President of RGF Environmental Group, Inc., www.rgfairpurification.com, has announced that RGF has installed a billboard on its 45-foot mobile trailer that not only advertises the company, but also purifies the air you breathe.

By coating a section of the trailer and a service van, RGF is demonstrating the effectiveness of its new super oxidation catalyst, which combines UV light from the sun and the moisture in the air to produce an advanced oxidation plasma (vaporized hydrogen peroxide), that oxidizes pollutants present in the air.

An older version of this oxidation catalyst concept is currently being used in Japan and Europe on buildings.

Fink said the new catalyst is being applied to the company's innovative environmental line of products that utilize RGF's proprietary PHI (Photohydroionization) sanitation technology. The new PHI catalyst allows for greatly increased water absorption from the ambient air, while also substantially increasing the available reactive surface area for the catalyst material. This concentrted water vapor is then released and transformed into hydrogen peroxide within the catalyst structure. Created in-situ during the actual formation of this new super hydrophilic material is near 100% anatase crystal titanium dioxide.

RGF has also added cerium and other catalyst enhancers to further increase the AOP (Advanced Oxidation Plasma) reaction speeds. The included cerium along with other specific ceramic materials create an internal structural support matrix, which is also unique to this new catalytic material. The new RGF technology is much more reactive and produces much higher amounts of hydrogen peroxide then previous catalytic systems. This new super hydrophilic system has six new patents now pending.
