Technogym Helps Operators Engage and Retain Members Whilst Impacting Social Causes

Technogym (www.technogym.com), a world leading company supplying fitness and wellness products, services and solutions, announces industry first technology, important social cause initiatives and new product lines at IHRSA 2015, the annual convention of the International Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association in Los Angeles, CA (News - Alert), taking place at the LA Convention Center from March 11 - 14. Technogym is exhibiting at Booth #1722.

Visitors to the booth will have the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in Technogym's Wellness eco-system, which is driven by its commitment to Technology, Innovation and Solutions. Featured will be the first Mywellness Lifestyle CRM open platform for managing Wellness Lifestyles, as well as new product lines - ARTIS, Pure Strength and Cable Stations. Technogym will also aim to hit a global milestone of 200 million MOVEs during IHRSA with the Let's Move for a Better World challenge, designed to impact childhood obesity, after hitting 100 million MOVEs earlier this week.

"Innovation has always been the engine behind Technogym's growth. We have invested in design, robust biomechanics and digital technology, as well as research and development, and all of our solutions showcased at IHRSA this year reflect this DNA," said Nerio Alessandri, President and Founder, Technogym. "Alongside investing in innovation, Technogym has always been committed to promoting wellness as a social opportunity to build a better world based on people's health."

Let's Move for a Better World Challenge

At IHRSA, Technogym will be promoting Let's Move for a Better World challenge. The first worldwide wellness initiative to fight childhood obesity, the Let's Move for a Better World challenge pits operators and their members against each other globally in health competition to collect the most amount of MOVEs (Technogym's metric of measuring physical movement) through physical activity from March 2-22, 2015. The facility in each country that amasses the most MOVEs will have the unique opportunity to affect public health in their communities by donating Technogym's Easy Line equipment to a local school of its choice.

The Let's Move for a Better World challenge has registered over 357 facilities worldwide in 16 different countries, including 36 facilities in the United States, that have generated over 100 million MOVEs after only one week into the program. This represents over 45 million calories burned or roughly 14,330 lbs lost, which speaks to members' proven enthusiasm to rally around social causes as they work out. To commemorate the 100M MOVEs milestone, a special celebration on the show floor hosted by Technogym President and Founder Nerio Alessandri will take place at 5pm on Thursday, March 12 at Technogym Booth #1722.

"Through established cause-related programs like Let's Move for a Better World, operators can better engage and motivate their members as part of a larger social movement to combat childhood obesity in their local communities," said Alessandri.
