PAS Announces New Executive Advisory Board MembersHOUSTON, March 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- PAS Inc., the leading solution provider of process safety, cyber security, and asset reliability for the energy, power, and process industries; announces the expansion of its executive advisory board. In addition to PAS' senior advisor Larry Evans, the board now includes Mary Cotton, CEO at iDirect Technologies; Jim Porter, president and founder of Sustainable Operations Solutions and former chief engineer at DuPont; and Joel Rosen, executive vice president of product and marketing at Endurance International Group. Larry Evans, head of the advisory board, is a long-standing strategic advisor to PAS. Larry is the founder as well as former chairman and CEO of Aspen Technology, a global process optimization software company focused on oil and gas, chemical, and other process industries. Larry is currently a Professor Emeritus at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and holds a strategic advisory position with Rive Technology, a catalytic and separations process technology company, where he was also the CEO for more than six years. Larry is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and former president of the American Institute of Chemical Engineering. Mary Cotton is currently the CEO at iDirect Technologies, a global leader in IP-based satellite communications. She is a former senior vice president of industry solutions at SAP and former CEO at Frictionless Commerce, a supplier relationship management software company acquired by SAP. Mary ha held COO and CFO positions at Aspen Technology and is currently serving as a board of director member at Seachange International, a top 250 global software company focused on content delivery services. Jim Porter is a process industry veteran with more than 40 years of chemical, safety, health, and environmental engineering experience at DuPont. Jim was chief engineer and vice president of DuPont engineering and operations until his retirement in 2008. Jim is currently the founder and president of Sustainable Operations Solutions, a consultancy focused on workplace safety, process safety, capital effectiveness, and operations productivity. Jim has served as chair of the Construction Industry Institute (CII) and is the recipient of the Engineering and Construction Contracting Association Achievement Award. Joel Rosen is a serial entrepreneur who has served as president and CEO at multiple venture-backed companies including Tizor Systems, a data security and auditing startup acquired by Netezza in 2009, and NaviSite, a publicly traded managed service provider acquired by Time Warner Cable in 2011. Joel is currently the executive vice president of products and marketing at Endurance International Group, a cloud and value-added web services company. Prior to Endurance, Joel was an operating executive and advisor to private equity firms and a partner at venture capital firm Charles River Ventures. Joel also served as an executive vice president at Aspen Technology and manager at Bain & Company.
