IFX Forum Publishes Version 2.4 of IFX Business Message Specification

The Interactive Financial eXchange (IFX; http://www.ifxforum.org) Forum announced today that it has published Version 2.4 of IFX, its open, interoperable standard for financial data exchange. The IFX Business Message Specification is available at no charge at http://bms.ifxforum.org/. Several thousand individuals around the world have registered to access IFX.

The IFX Forum is an international non-profit industry association whose mission is to develop and promote the adoption of the IFX specification. The new version's enhancements include updates, corrections and refinements in various areas of the specification, along with improvements to the automated XSD generator that is available to Forum members and subscribers.

"Delivering IFX 2.4 demonstrates the Forum's ongoing commitment to providing real benefits to the financial services industry, worldwie," said Richard P. Urban, President of the IFX Forum. "The participants in our Working Groups and Architecture actively seek to address the needs of IFX users, and we are grateful for their collective efforts. We invite all interested parties to join us at our Annual Meeting in April, where together we will lay out a road map for the future direction of IFX and Forum activities."

The 2015 Annual Meeting of the IFX Forum will take place in Wakefield, Massachusetts, April 27-29. Active Working Groups will hold hands-on sessions, and members will elect new Directors to the IFX Forum Board. Members and non-members are invited to register; non-member meeting fees have been waived.

In addition to developing IFX, the Forum actively engages in international standards activity, including longtime liaison efforts with ISO and contributions to ISO 20022, a leadership role in the Remittance Coalition set up by the U.S. Federal Reserve, and Memoranda of Understanding with ASC (News - Alert) X9, BIAN and EPASOrg. The Forum also hosts a free IFX Discussion Forum, where knowledgeable Forum members and other subject matter experts will answer IFX-related questions from the public.
