Canadian LG G3's receive Android™ 5.0 Lollipop upgrade

LG to enhance Canadian G3 user experience with latest Android update

TORONTO, Feb. 25, 2015 /CNW/ - LG Electronics (LG) Canada announced today that the anticipated Android 5.0 Lollipop OS upgrade will start rolling out across Canadian LG G3 devices.

Lollipop – the latest Android OS – delivers a host of improvements, including a new design language with added depth, shadows and animations. User notifications are improved with a new layout and colour scheme that will be available on the updated lock screen. To strengthen connectivity between devices, Lollipop includes a new security feature that allows users to unlock their smartphone when it i near a pre-registered Bluetooth device, such as the LG G Watch. In addition to these functions, the Lollipop OS also introduces Android Runtime (ART) software that improves overall performance.

The LG G3 smartphone is available in Canada through Bell, Fido, MTS, Rogers, Sasktel, Videotron and Virgin Mobile Canada, as well as national retailers Best Buy Canada, Future Shop, Tbooth wireless, The Source, WIRELESSWAVE, WIRELESS etc…, and WOW mobile.
