PerfectServe Experiences Unprecedented Growth, Signs 29 New Customers in 2014

Readmissions penalties, HIPAA compliance and value-based reimbursements have forced healthcare organizations to look for innovative solutions to improve their care coordination, and effective clinical communication is paramount in this effort. As a result, PerfectServe - healthcare's only comprehensive and secure communications platform - experienced unprecedented growth in 2014, with 29 new client contracts and more than 260 go-lives occurring at leading healthcare organizations across the country.

"Providers now understand the value of tackling the clinical communication issue at the highest level, which led to our success in 2014," said Terry Edwards, chief executive officer at PerfectServe. "We're helping align innovative technologies with the workflow changes needed to improve care coordination, collaboration, and, ultimately, patient care."

A testament to the company's ability to simplify complex clinical processes and workflows, the following healthcare organizations are an example of newly signed customers:

  • Advocate Health Care - The largest integrated health system in Illinois, Advocate Health Care covers more than 250 care sites, including 12 hospitals that encompass 10 acute care hospitals and two children's hospitals. After successful implementations in several of the network's acute care hospitals, Advocate determined PerfectServe is the one system that could most efficiently streamline and standardize its communication processes. PerfectServe is now the standard for secure clinical communications across the organization.
  • Spectrum (News - Alert) Health - As part of its enterprise-wide, unified clinical communications strategy, Spectrum named PerfectServe as its system-wide standard to simplify clinical communications processes. With PerfectServe in place, Spectrum will enable more direct and secure physician-to-physician collaboration while speeding nurse-to-physician communication cycle times.
  • Genesys (News - Alert) Health System - As part of a strategy to reduce delays in communication response times, Genesys Health System selected PerfectServe to streamline clinical communications across its organization. Genesys, a leading healthcare organization in Michigan, sought a comprehensive clinical communication solution that quickly and appropriately filters and delivers pertinent information to ensure timely interaction. This organization marked the 16th Ascension Health System facility to leverage PerfectServe to help improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

Others joining the PerfectServe customer family or expanding PerfectServe in their systems in 2014 include UnityPoint Health System in Iowa, Mercy Health in Cincinnati, Memorial Hermann in Texas, IPC (News - Alert) Healthcare and Houston Methodist.

PerfectServe now enables 45,000 clinicians across the country to connect in any care setting across the healthcare continuum using a single, workflow-responsive, unified communications platform in a HIPAA-compliant environment that is customizable to specific clinician needs. The company currently processes an average of three million interactions on a monthly basis.

As a result of this rapid growth, PerfectServe increased its employee base by 20 percent with new hires in 2014, and plans to continue to expand into 2015. These hires were made at all levels of the organization as part of research and development, clinical, technical and operational functions. New positions include the addition of a vice president of client experience and vice president of product marketing, as well as a new regional sales director.

PerfectServe also announced the opening of a new office in Atlanta, Georgia in August 2014. This location serves primarily to house a research and development team focused on delivering the next generation of PerfectServe's platform for improving patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
