Pathway Genomics Adds Dr. Julie Neidich as New Laboratory Medical Director


Pathway Genomics Corporation, a San Diego-based CLIA and CAP accredited clinical laboratory that offers genetic testing services globally, announced today that Julie Neidich, M.D., FACMG, FAAP, has joined our team as the laboratory medical director. Dr. Neidich comes to Pathway Genomics from GeneDx where she was the clinical director of the Whole Exome Sequencing Program.

"Dr. Neidich has many years of experience in all aspects of genetic medicine and diagnostics, and she is a tremendous addition to our medical and science team," said Jim Plante, Pathway Genomics' founder and CEO.

Dr. Neidich has held faculty positions at Cornell University Medical College and Stanford University School of Medicine, as well as leadership roles at Quest Diagnostics-Nichols Institute and Ambry Genetics. In addition, she was the founder of Global TeleGenetics.

"I am honored to help continue building Pathway's laboratory and its reputation for excellence in testing, while bringing in new assays that will help enhance our overall test menu," said Dr. Neidich.

Dr. Neidich received her bachelor's at Bennington College and her doctorate from George Washington University. She then went on to receive her pediatrics training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine-Montefiore Medical Center and her genetics training at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia-University of Pennsylvania. She is an ABP (News - Alert)-certified pediatrician, and an ABMG-certified clinical, cytogenetic, biochemical, and molecular geneticist. She is also a founding fellow of the American College of Medical Genetics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
