Truven Health Analytics Names Richard Holada Chief Data and Technology Officer

Richard Holada has joined Truven Health Analytics™ as Chief Data and Technology Officer. In this newly created role, Mr. Holada will drive the alignment between the company's core analytic and data capabilities - which include the world's largest database of private sector health insurance claims - and solution development. Mr. Holada will be responsible for continuous improvement of the user experience, and will work with customers in planning new kinds of analytic tools to meet the far-reaching changes that are affecting every corner of healthcare.

Mr. Holada comes to Truven Health from The IBM (News - Alert) Corporation, where he oversaw the company's predictive analytics and business intelligence offerings. Most recently, Mr. Holada was vice present of IBM's Watson Legal Solutions. In tis role, he leveraged IBM Watson Cognitive Computing technology to build solutions for the legal profession; earlier he served as vice president, predictive analytics at IBM. Mr. Holada joined IBM with the acquisition of SPSS (News - Alert) where he served as senior vice president of technology and chief technology officer. Mr. Holada also held senior technology and customer relationship positions with SPSS, Oracle (News - Alert), and PeopleSoft.

Mr. Holada earned his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois, and his Juris Doctor from John Marshall (News - Alert) Law School.
