Datapipe Announces Collaboration with Amazon Web Services to Introduce Global Cloud Center of Excellence

Datapipe, a global leader in managed hybrid IT solutions for the enterprise, is collaborating with Amazon Web Services (News - Alert) (AWS) to develop tools and resources to help customers around the globe move workloads out of their data centers and into the AWS Cloud, building true Hybrid IT environments for their business. Datapipe (News - Alert), an AWS Premier Consulting Partner in the AWS Partner Network (APN), will develop and leverage a suite of services, tools and resources to help enterprise customers run in their new environments faster, with less overhead and more predictability. These services will be housed under a new Global Cloud Center of Excellence (CoE) run by dedicated hybrid IT and cloud experts from Datapipe and with technical collaboration with AWS.

The new Global CoE comes at a critical time in the market as enterprises seek to take advantage of the reach, flexibility and scalability of the cloud, along with the numerous benefits of hybrid IT implementations. The new CoE will bring together Datapipe's deep experience with AWS and hybrid IT implementations to fuel architectural and operational innovations in the planning, building and management of enterprise applications to AWS and broader Hybrid IT Solutions - all backed by AWS services and support.

"We are excited to support Datapipe's Global Cloud CoE, which will bring enterprises additional tools, services and technical resources to their enterprise-class applications," said Terry Wise, Director of Worldwide Partner Ecosystem, Amazon Web Services, Inc. "AWS and Datapipe have had a long, close relationship and the CoE is just another way we are working together to bring best-of-class cloud solutions to enterprise customers."

"This integration, coupled with our recent announcement of the Datapipe Access Control Model for AWS (DACMA), demonstrates Datapipe's deep understanding and experience in effectively planning, building and running highly secure and available AWS environments for clients across the globe," said Josh Lowry, Vice President, Global Cloud Sales, Datapipe. "Datapipe has developed significant breadth and depth of experience with the AWS platform over the last four years helping clients solve problems."

"AWS and Datapipe have played important roles in our transition to Cloud," said Tyler Holbrook, senior vice president of IT at Findly. "Datapipe's deep architecture, security and operations expertise has allowed us to make great strides in effectively and securely adopting cloud in our enterprise."

The Global Cloud CoE will focus on the following:

  • Developing a framework that will help enterprises simplify their migration onto AWS while leveraging Datapipe's managed services and Hybrid IT Solutions
  • Refining and advancing services, architecture, networks, storage, security, application migration, application modernization, deployment and on-going managed services

California-based TaylorMade Golf turned to AWS and Datapipe after initially considering a colocation-based disaster recovery solution for the company's Oracle (News - Alert) ERP system. "Datapipe's flexibility, deep expertise in AWS and operational expertise attracted us to them," said Mike Nevlida, director, infrastructure and services at TaylorMade Golf. "From the very beginning, we were talking about how to ensure the AWS-based disaster recovery solution met our unique requirements. Datapipe and AWS ultimately created a highly reliable, secure cloud-based DR solution at the right cost."

The new Global Cloud Center of Excellence will be integrated with Datapipe's recently announced Client Solutions Center in Seattle, making the company's west-coast presence even stronger. Seattle-based Lowry will lead the center.
