FusionLayer Accelerates Multivendor Strategy

FusionLayer, Inc. today announced the appointment of Nora Denzel as an investor and an advisor to accelerate the company's multivendor strategy announced in July 2014. Named one of the 10 leading women in IT by CIO Mgazine and one of the top 25 women engineers by Business Insider, Nora currently serves as a board member at Ericsson and AMD (News - Alert).

"We are excited to have Nora join our team as she brings years of technology experience to the company," said Juha Holkkola, chief executive at FusionLayer. "She will be advising FusionLayer on the execution of its vendor-agnostic strategy aimed at unlocking the Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) stack. It is a privilege to have her share her guidance and leadership with the FusionLayer team as we ramp up partnering activities vital to our strategy," he continued.

"Having run Intuit's Big Data and Hewlett-Packard's (News - Alert) software divisions in the past, I know first hand how fragmented service provider and data center organizations can be," said Nora Denzel. "Coupled with the automation trend that is gaining significant momentum, I found FusionLayer's strategy intriguing and I'm thrilled to be part of the team."

Based in Silicon Valley, Nora was also impressed by the entrepreneurial culture at FusionLayer and its customer base. Currently, the company's technologies are used by eBay, Rackspace (News - Alert) and Earthlink among others.

"Our industry is going through a transformation that will change the way in which IT is delivered and consumed for good," continued Denzel. "These are great times for agile and entrepreneurial companies to discover new business models and thrive. I believe FusionLayer is very well positioned to accomplish that, and it will be exciting to see how things unfold as we kick it into high gear."
