Four GSE Nuclear Experts to Present on Solutions for Nuclear Workforce Training at CONTE 2015


Four experts from global energy services solutions provider GSE Systems, Inc. (NYSE MKT: GVP) ("GSE") will present papers on simulation training and improving nuclear workforce performance at the 2015 Conference on Nuclear Training and Education (CONTE). The conference takes place February 1-4 at the Jacksonville-Riverfront Hotel in Jacksonville, FL.

Scott Zepplin, Program Manager, will kick off the conference for GSE with a presentation, co-authored with Jeff Mercer and Dennis Spielman of Southern Nuclear Plant Vogtle, about post-Fukushima nuclear training and the need for better emergency response organization (ERO) training tools at 2:20 p.m. on Monday, February 2.

The next morning at 9:00 a.m., Senior VP Gill Grady will explore practical applications of game-based learning in a presentation titled, Are Your Employees Playing Games? The same morning, at 11:20 a.m., Jamie Camp, Program Manager, will give a presentation with two representatives from GSE's partner, Teletrix Inc., titled VIZRAD Evolving in Simulation Radiation Training. At 1:20 p.m., Senior VP George McCullough will join members of Purdue University (News - Alert) in discussing a proposal for a nuclear simulation operations course.

Grady will wrap up the conference for GSE along with Dr. Ted Kinney of Select International, Inc. with a presentation at 9:20 a.m. on Wednesday titled, How to Dramatically Improve Operator Training Throughput Utilizing Screening and Selection.

GSE also will be offering a hands-on radiation detection 3D simulation training experience at booth 29 along with Teletrix. The VIZRAD product combines GSE's Activ3DiTM visualization and simulation tool integrated with eletrix's radiation detection hardware.



GSE's recently-acquired training and staffing company, Hyperspring, also will be present with GSE at booths 27 and 28, discussing solutions for ANSI fundamentals and SRO certification training and specialized staff support. IntelliQlik, a partner of GSE's engaged in the development of a software platform for online learning and learning management for the energy market, will be presenting its capabilities at booth 36.
