Varrow Engineer Michael Bruton Achieves His CCIE Wireless Certification

On November 26th, Michael Bruton achieved his Cisco (News - Alert) Certified Internetwork Expert Wireless certification, the first for Varrow. This certification is accepted worldwide as the most prestigious networking certification in the industry.

Candidates who pass the CCIE Wireless certification exams demonstrate broad theoretical knowledge of wireless networking and a solid understanding of wireless local area networking (WLAN) technologies from Cisco, who is the market leader in WLAN technology.

While there are no prerequisites, before attempting this certification, candidates are expected to have an in-depth understanding of the topics and are strongly encouraged to have three to five years of job experience. Candidates also have toinitially pass a written qualification exam and then pass a hands-on lab exam.

Bruton started his Cisco Wireless certification journey in February of 2014, shortly before joining Varrow. Upon completion of the CCNA Wireless and CCNP Wireless certifications, he knocked out the CCIE Wireless written exam by mid-year. In November Bruton passed his lab exam and received his CCIE Certification Number (#45655) after his first attempt.

"This is yet another outstanding example of the engineering talent that we have here. Varrow is committed to being the leading Cisco partner in the southeast and this continues to solidify that position. Customers can expect the same top-level services from our Enterprise Networking team that they receive from our other practices," said Jason Nash, CTO of Varrow.
