Planview Honors Five Customers for Excellence in Portfolio and Resource Management

During Horizons 2014 Annual Customer Conference in Austin, Texas, Planview® recognized five customers for outstanding achievements in portfolio and resource management. From insurance to healthcare to education to manufacturing, these customers are at the forefront of using portfolio and resource management to determine how to best use their people, money and projects to achieve business goals.

Innovation Award: C. R. Bard

C. R. Bard was honored for using Planview Enterprise® for pipeline visibility and more efficient portfolio decision making across multiple business units. This is providing the ability to align portfolios to both the business unit innovation strategy and corporate strategy.

Community Award: Arizona State University

Arizona State University won for its commitment to sharing its proven best practices and experiences, both within the Planview customer community as well as with prospects, analysts, and PPM (News - Alert) practitioners at large during webcasts and at conferences.

Achievement Awards: Planview awarded three organizations with the Leadership Award for Achievement for their outstanding implementation success and ability to spend less and/or deliver more while driving higher quality and improving internal satisfaction ratings.

  • NASCO: NASCO won for completing a migration from on premise to the Planview Cloud, upgrading from Planview Enterprise 10.3 to version 11.1 and converting all interfaces utilizing web services version over a four month timeframe. NASCO used a "Big Bang (News - Alert)" approach to reemphasize the strategic nature of Planview Enterprise and configure ribbons and tiles in the product to optimize user role features.
  • Farmers Insurance: Farmers Insurance was recognized for their achievements in improved resource utilization using Planview Enterprise, which resulted in benefits such as costs savings, focus on higher priority projects, and more informed executive decision making.
  • Flowserve: Flowserve earned the award for using Planview Enterprise to generate all of the data and reports in their monthly R&D Playbook, streamlining the production from 10 days to one day and with increasing scope.

"All companies face doing more with less these days, and these customers are setting themselves apart by using portfolio and resource management to make the most of their limited resources," said Scott Hardey, executive vice president of Customer Care at Planview. "Whether they are bringing new products to market, running a services operation, transforming IT, or executing on enterprise projects, these large, complex organizations use Planview Enterprise to deliver business value."

During the customer conference, more than 20 Planview customers - including several of the award winners - presented case studies about their use of Planview Enterprise and/or Projectplace in product development, IT, services resource planning, and corporate financial planning.
