Wifirst Completes National Wi-Fi Rollout Using Aerohive to Become the Leading Provider of Managed Wi-Fi in France

Aerohive Networks® (NYSE:HIVE), a leader in controller-less Wi-Fi and cloud-managed mobile networking, today announced that Wifirst, the French operator and pioneer in public Wi-Fi hotspots, has successfully completed the deployment of over 25,000 Aerohive (News - Alert) Wi-Fi access points.

• Wifirst required a robust and flexible architecture to support complex deployments, rapid expansion and end-users' expectation for excellent Wi-Fi connectivity. Aerohive enables accelerated growth by giving Wifirst a single view and point of management for its entire network. Aerohive's Wi-Fi infrastructure also requires fewer access points, reducing interference and further enhancing the overall end-user experience.
• Aerohive was chosen by Wifirst for its flexible and controller-less cloud approach and is supporting Wifirst's network of 450,000 rooms across the education, hospitality, social housing and military sectors.
• With this deployment, Wifirst has become the leading operator for Wi-Fi access in France with notable customers including 220 Accor Group hotels such as the MeRcure, Novotel and MGallery hotels, as well as the French military through a partnership with the French Ministry of Defense's Joint Loistics and Supply Agency, l'Economat des Armées.
