Presto™ by E la Carte Improves Lunchtime Table Turn at Genghis Grill by over 30 Percent

E la Carte, the leaders in Smart Dining™ and creators of the Presto Platform for restaurants, today announced that Genghis Grill has improved its lunchtime table turns by more than 30 percent since the roll-out of Presto table-top tablets. The improved efficiencies are based on Presto's proprietary ordering and payment features that empower guests to control how and when they order food and pay their bills. Presto tablets are currently installed at 76 Genghis Grill locations across 23 states.

"Our guests love the ability to order and pay directly through the Presto tablet," said Marcin Kedzierski, IT Director of Genghis Grill. "Because they are handling these tasks via the tablet, our servers are able to focus on higher-value added activities and can spend more time directly interacting with our customers. The result is an enhanced dining experience for our guests and higher sales in our stores during the busiest time of day."

"The feedback clearly shows that guests prefer the ability to pay when they want to from the convenience of their tablet," said Rajat Suri, Founder and CEO of E la Carte. "The Presto platform provides simple, flexible and secure payment options, as well as the peace of mind that comes from never having your card leave your possession during the transaction. At the same time, we're elevating the role of the server by providing an on-table assistant - essentially an extra pair of hands to increase efficiencies and improve overall quality of service."

The 30 percent improvement in table urns is based on data generated across 18 stores over an 8 week period of time. E la Carte's performance data indicates that when given the opportunity, more than one-third of all guests will pay via the Presto tablet rather than wait for a server. In addition to improved table turns, E la Carte performance data shows that servers benefit from a 16 percent increase in tips from guests utilizing the Presto platform.

The Presto tablet is NFC-enabled and can be adapted to incorporate any of the current payment systems as well as QR-code based or mobile payment technologies.

Guests using the Presto tablet can quickly browse full menus with photos, place orders, pay their bill and play a wide variety of games. They can also easily split checks and redeem gift cards without waiting for assistance from the server. In addition to Genghis Grill, other national restaurant chains partnering with E la Carte to bring the Presto platform to their guests include Applebee's and Johnny Rockets.
