The Great Ryland Toy Drive Returns to Bring Holiday Gifts to Deserving Local Children

In what has become an annual tradition, Ryland Homes is honored to announce that its Sales Centers will once again be designated official Marine Toys for Tots donation stations. Thanks to the generous donations of Ryland's homebuyers, homeowners, contract partners and employees, deserving children across the country will have their spirits lifted this holiday season.

To kick off this year's partnership, Larry Nicholson, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Ryland Group, Inc., presented a $25,000 check to Sergeant Adam Tidwell, Gunnery Sergeant Michael Gonzales and the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. The Great Ryland ToyDrive will run from November 24 to December 14. Official Toys for Tots donation stations will be located at participating Ryland Homes Sales Centers nationwide where visitors can drop off new, unwrapped toys to help make this a holiday season so many children will never forget.

Ryland is proud to be a National Corporate Sponsor of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation for a third consecutive year. In 2013, the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation collected 16.8 million toys, books and other gifts for nearly 7 million children. Since 1947, Marines have distributed more than 476 million toys to more than 223 million needy children. Over its lifespan, Toys for Tots has supplemented local toy collections with more than 108 million toys, valued at more than $800 million. While the Marines coordinate and manage the program, the Foundation's success depends on the support of the local community and the kindness of people who donate toys.
