Rocket Scientist Now on Mission to Launch Internet of Toys

CHARLESTON, S.C. --(Business Wire)--

Krissa Watry spent almost a decade designing, building, launching, and operating spaceflight hardware. She even has two units aboard cargo modules that docked with the International Space Station this year. But 2 years ago, she quit her job as a rocket scientist to start a new mission - help inspire the next generation of innovators. Today, her company Dynepic® will debut the future of toys by launching their first connected toy, the DynePod™, on Kickstarter.com. The 30-day pre-sale campaign will allow you to pre-order DynePods and help support her mission. The link to the Kickstarter campaign is available at www.dynepic.com.

The DynePod is a wearable, educational, Bluetooth connected toy designed to introduce fundamental concepts of customization, programming, ngineering, and socialization, by allowing children to create their own interactive programs for their toys. DynePods use a graphical IF/THEN programming language Dynepic® developed under National Science Foundation funding. DynePods are just the beginning in Krissa's mission, as they will be the first of many toys connected to The Internet of Toys™ (IoToys), Dynepic's state-of-the-art open platform. The IoToys is designed to safely share cloud content and connect all types of toys, merging elements of child's play and technology to enable children to interact with their toys in revolutionarily modern ways and encourage the next generation to start innovating. The IoToys platform will allow DynePods to morph and grow with the child through cloud updates, as well as connect wirelessly with other DynePods and a host of other future toys linked to the platform.

"I am thrilled to be in the toy business. Toys played a major role in my success and I hope we can introduce foundational skills like design, 3D printing, and coding that will help our kids achieve their dreams and compete in this technology driven world. " Krissa Watry, Dynepic's President and CEO, comments. "We hope you will join us by supporting DynePods and the Internet of Toys on Kickstarter."

Dynepic, Inc. is focused on building cool connected toys and an open architecture and cloud platform to drive child friendly content in new and innovative ways. Dynepic® is a women owned, veteran owned, small business focused on creating the Internet of Toys™.
