Markley Group Announces Colleges of the Fenway Joins the Boston Internet Exchange

Markley Group, universally recognized as a world class mission-critical telecommunications and data center operator, announced today that Colleges of the Fenway (COF), a consortium of six neighboring Boston-based colleges in the Fenway area, has selected Markley as its data center provider and partner and joined its Boston Internet Exchange (BostonIX) to lower overall IP transit costs and allow for the most efficient exchange of network traffic.

Colleges of the Fenway is a collaboration created to enhance student services and seek innovative methods of containing the costs of higher education by investing together in current and new services. Joining a community of close to 40 customers and domestic/international network providers, Colleges of the Fenway will benefit from BostonIX's ability to deliver virtually unlimited, secure bandwidth. Housed in Markley Group's, highly secure One Summer Street facility, BostonIX is New England's primary hub for creating and developing IP peering partner relationships. For Colleges of the Fenway, BostonIX provides fast, secure and reliable connectivity, lowering the costs and management resources of IP transit and Internet traffic.
