South Africa : FastNet plans to construct SA's first IoT NETWORK [TendersInfo (India)]


(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) FastNet declared that it aim is to construct a network, mainly for the Internet of Things in South Africa.

Globally, by 2020 the number of web-connected devices is anticipated to reach 22 billion, with over 50% of these applications foretasted to be low power devices requiring extremely long battery life.

FastNet would be aiming devices and services which will need a long battery lifetime at a low price point, through the selection of LoRa technology from the global semiconductor company Semtech.
