Oconomowoc business leader joins Froedtert Health board of directors [EMBIN (Emerging Markets Business Information News]


(EMBIN (Emerging Markets Business Information News) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Froedtert Health today announced that Dirk Debbink, chairman and chief executive officer of Oconomowoc –based MSI General Corp., has been named to its board of directors.



“Dirk Debbink's deep experience in strategic planning and business management will be of great value to us as we navigate changes in health care,†said Cathy Jacobson, president and chief executive officer of Froedtert Health. “In addition, his longtime commitment to Waukesha County, where Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network has a growing presence, will help us connect with the community.†Debbink joined MSI General in 1983 and rose from a sales and marketing role to hold several executive leadership positions with the Waukesha County commercial design-build construction company before becoming its chairman and chief executive officer in 2012. He also recently completed approximately five years of active duty with the U.S. Navy, including as a vice admiral on the staff of the chief of naval operations in the Pentagon.

Debbink's board experience includes private, nonprofit and government organizations, including the Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital Foundation, ProHealth Care, the Oconomowoc Area School District Board of Education and First Bank Financial Centre.


The Froedtert Health board of directors is chaired by Kevin Steiner, president and chief executive officer of West Bend Mutual Insurance Company. Other board members are Ronald Bast, Kurt Bechthold, Bruce Block, Tonit Calaway, Andre Fernandez, David Lubar, Vincent Lyles, Gary Mecklenburg, Mary Meehan, John Murphy, Kristine Rappe, Richard Schepp and John Schlifske.

Froedtert Health combined with the Medical College of Wisconsin to form Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin regional health network, which includes eastern Wisconsin's only academic medical center. The network's flagship hospital, Froedtert Hospital, is MCW's primary adult teaching affiliate. The health care network includes two community hospitals, a community-based medical group and more than 30 primary and specialty care health centers and clinics.
