TDCP to get women wing


(Nation (Pakistan) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Provincial Minister for Tourism Rana Mashood has announced establishment of women tourism wing in Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP).

Addressing a reception in honour of Telenor Pakistan CEO Michael Patric Foley (now Muhammad Abdullah Foley) after embracing Islam on Saturday, the provincial minister said that the Women wing would arrange various tour packages for the female students and housewives under the supervision of female tour guides in a safe and sound manner.



MNA Mahar Ishtiaq Ahmad, MPA Mian Naseer, Secretary YAST Punjab Muhammad Khan Kichi, Secretary Higher Education Abdullah Khan Sumbal, DG Sports Punjab Usman Anwar, Vice Chairman TDCP Imran Goraya, Manager Youth Tourism and Adventure Tourism Fayyaz Ahmad along with Vice President Telenor Pakistan Muhammad Aslam Hayat also attended the reception.

Mashhood asked the delegation of Telenor Group to fulfil their corporate social responsibility through sponsoring different promotion projects of tourism and technical education in Punjab. He also apprised the delegation about the details of Google Street View project and the project regarding promotion of tourism cluster "SatGhra" at Katas Raj in district Chakwal.


He said that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif wanted to promote different projects of TDCP at international level which required sponsorship from multinational companies.

Abdullah Foley, in his speech, promised to fulfil his company's corporate social responsibility in this regard, saying that Telenor would collaborate in various tourism promotion projects in Punjab in the days to come.
