Lenovo launches Vibe X2 smartphone at Rs 19,999 [Mobiles] [Times of India]


(Times of India Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) NEW DELHI: Lenovo has launched the Vibe X2, it's mid-range smartphone in India at Rs 19,999. The phone will be sold exclusively on e-commerce marketplace Flipkart starting November 10. The phone was first unveiled in September at the sidelines of IFA 2014. The phone sports a 'multi-layered' design with its edges giving the impression of different coloured layers stacked together. The phone is 7.27mm thin and will be available in white, red, gold and dark grey colours. Lenovo Vibe X2 sports a 5-inch full-HD (1080x1920p) display. Powered by a MediaTek MT6595 octa-core processor and 2GB RAM, the phone comes with 32GB internal storage. It is the first phone to be powered by MediaTek's new 4G-LTE-enabled chip that will sell in the Indian market. The phone runs Android 4.4 KitKat with Lenovo's Vibe UI running on top. It features a 13MP rear camera and 5MP wide angle front-camera for enhanced selfies. It has a 2300mAh battery. In terms of connectivity, the dual-sim phone supports 4G LTE (with support for Indian 4G bands), Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and GPS. Lenovo will also offer 'Xtensions' that are essentially click-on accessories that also act as cases. A battery Xtension will be available at Rs 1,999.
