PSI Awarded Subcontract by ASM Research to Provide Joint Centralized Credentials Quality Assurance System

(GlobeNewswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ARLINGTON, Va., Nov. 6, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Planned Systems International, Inc. (PSI), a leading provider of Health IT solutions to the federal government, announced that it was awarded a subcontract by ASM Research (An Accenture Federal Services Company) (ASM) as a key partner entrusted with the technology modernization and enhancement of the Defense Health Agency's (DHA) Centralized Credentials Quality Assurance System (CCQAS) to transform it into a interagency system supporting DHA and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) credentialing and privileging requirements.

PSI, as an ASM team member, will support the modernization of the CCQAS technology stack and will assist ASM in developing a new Joint Centralized Credentials Quality Assurance System (JCCQAS) in support of the Defense Health Services Systems (DHSS) Program Executive Office (PEO). The work will be performed primarily at ASM Corporate Headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia.

Under this contract, the ASM team—including PSI, Synergy BIS and Favor TechConsulting—will develop and map requirements, modernize the CCQAS technology, and develop a prototype to enable the DHA and VA to manage credentialed healthcare providers using a single interagency system. JCCQAS will use the existing CCQAS as the foundation for the future interagency system supporting all credentialing and privileging activities for both the DHA and VA.

"We're honored to work with our close partner, ASM, to continue our partnership with the DHSS, to leverage our joint outstanding past performance with the CCQAS application, and to deliver this critical interagency solution in support of all military health beneficiaries and our veterans," said Michael Snyder, PSI Chief Operating Officer.
