Verizon donates $15,000 to Family Justice Center [New Vision (Uganda)]


(New Vision (Uganda) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Verizon Wireless opens Georgetown, South Carolina's first Smart Store, designed to create a new technology-driven retail experience with innovative choices and accessories that support today's connected consumer. The new Smart Store, located at 1201 N. Fraser Street, makes shopping for wireless devices and services easier, convenient and more personalized by showcasing popular lifestyle areas in distinct zones throughout the store.



Verizon Wireless presented a check for $15,000 to Family Justice Center for domestic violence prevention efforts at the grand opening of the wireless carrier's Smart Store in Georgetown. The new store design will feature popular lifestyle areas in distinct zones throughout the store;which focuses on health and fitness products and solutions;.

The new store will also serve as a collection location for no-longer-used wireless phones, batteries and accessories in any condition and any condition and from any wireless carrier. The old phones are recycled through Verizon's HopeLine program, which turns unused wireless phones into support for victims of domestic violence.
