Sony records net loss of around $1 bn in April-September(EFE Ingles Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Tokyo, Oct 31 (EFE).- Japanese electronics giant Sony on Friday announced a net loss of $982.5 million, 561 percent more than the same period in 2013, mainly due to a fall in its mobile phone division. In September, the Tokyo-based company said that the decline in sales of these devices would lead to a significant loss in the current fiscal year. Sony suffered an operating loss of $141.6 million, which contrasts with a profit of $442.7 million registered in April-September 2013.
