Woman allegedly steals TV, DVR [The Logan Banner, W.Va.]


(Logan Banner, The (WV) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Oct. 29--KISTLER -- Christy Lynn Gaikowski, 40, of Accoville, was arrested by the City of Logan Police on October 17 for entering without breaking.

Deputy Terry Brumfield was contacted on January 11 by Logan County 911 referring to a break and enter in the Kistler area. Upon arrival, Brumfield spoke to the victim, Kenneth Milton, who had returned home to find Gaikowski in his house, dragging a garbage bag down the hall way.



Milton allegedly asked Gaikowski what she was doing; she answered that she had been kicked out of her current residence and had no food so she came to Milton's residence and took his.

Milton reportedly told Gaikowski that she could have the food, but she was not welcome back in the house.


Gaikowski tore the garbage bag that the food was being carried in, so Milton gave her another. While Gaikowski was taking out the food to place it in the other bag, Milton allegedly saw his television in the bag.

Milton took the television from Gaikowski and took it back in the house. While he was inside, he reportedly found that his DVR to his camera system was missing as well.

Milton went back outside to get his DVR, but Gaikowski had already left the scene. A warrant was issued on January 16 for Gaikowski's arrest; she was arrested on October 17.

Gaikowski's bail was set at $2,500.

-- Robin Rena Samuels, 37, of Holden, was arrested by the West Virginia State Police on October 14 for four charges of embezzlement.

On May 2, Sergeant L.J. McLung of the WVSP was contacted by Burr Hatfield with Premier Bank in reference to an embezzlement complaint at the Logan Branch. McClung met with Branch Manager Cheryl Dingess.

Dingess advised an that an employee, Robin Samuels, allegedly embezzled approximately $3,230 from four different customers' Christmas Club Accounts.

Dingess further advised that she, as well as several other Premier Bank supervisors met with Samuels and she allegedly confessed that she took the money to help save her mother's house from foreclosure.

Samuels' bail was set at $10,000.

In other Magistrate Court news: -- Terri Lynn Ellis, age 34, was arrested by the Logan County Sheriff's Department on October 9 for possession of a controlled substance and driving under the influence of a controlled substance. Ellis' bail was set at $3,500.

-- Delcena Lynn Workman, age 45, was arrested by the Logan County Sheriff's Department on October 9 for driving under the influence of a controlled substance and improper backing. Workman's bail was set at $3,000.

-- Tyler Ward Workman, age 21, was arrested by the WVSP on October 12 for no seat belt, no proof of insurance, no operators and possession of a controlled substance less than 15 grams. Workman's bail was set at $1,500.

-- Jessica Meade, age 23, was arrested by the WVSP on October 13 for giving false information to an officer. Meade's bail was set at $1,000.

-- Roger Lee Ball, age 53, was arrested by the LPD on October 14 for public intoxication, possession of a controlled substance and obstructing. Ball's bail was set at $3,500.

-- Christina Lynn Caldwell, age 36, was arrested by the WVSP on October 14 for no proof of insurance, first offense DUI, public intoxication and no operators. Caldwell's bail was set at $3,500.

-- Roy Howard Browning, age 62, was arrested by the LCSD on October 17 for trespassing and domestic assault without display of weapon. Browning's bail was set at $3,000.

-- Earl Matthew Browning, age 26, was arrested by the Logan Police Department on October 23 for domestic assault without display of a weapon. Browning's bail was set at $1,500.

-- Criminal complaints are public information. Charges listed in a complaint are merely accusations; defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
