Argentina's Arsat-1 satellite reaches geostationary orbit [New Vision (Uganda)]


(New Vision (Uganda) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Argentine satellite Arsat-1 has reached its geostationary orbit, Telam reports. The aicraft is now is controlled from the Benavidez land station, in northern Buenos Aires province. The Arsat-1 was launched by French company Arianespace on 16 October. The satellite will provide telephone and data transmission, internet access, IP telephony, and DTH services to users across Argentina and the Southern Cone.
