Synaptics Gears Up in China Fingerprint Recognition Market(Sinocast Computers & Electronics Beat (China) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) BEIJING, October 29, SinoCast -- Following Intel, Synaptics released Chinese strategy in Beijing, targeting mainstream OEM and ODM as well as sensor and display module companies for strategic cooperation. Different from Intel, which hoped to return to mobile market through Chinese companies, Synaptics planned to snatch local fingerprint recognition market, equipping chips to hundreds of millions mobile phones made in China per year. China is no longer a pronoun for big market, since terminal makers like Huawei Technologies and Lenovo Group are changing global market situation. China has six of the top ten global mobile phone makers. Synaptics will spend more in China to boost local income, which currently takes up 15% of its total.
