StubHub Takes Music to the "Next Stage" Bringing a Three-date Concert Series to Canada Showcasing Popular Canadian Musicians

(Canada Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Tickets Available Thursday, 10/30, for Shows Featuring USS (Ubiquitous Synergy Seeker) in Toronto and Matthew Good in Calgary and Vancouver at the end of November TORONTO, Oct. 28, 2014 /CNW/ - StubHub, the world's largest ticket marketplace, today announced a continuation of its highly successful music initiative, StubHub's Next Stage Concert Series, to discover and support emerging artists while giving exclusive access to the true music fan.  Next Stage will debut in Canada at the end of November.  The three-date concert series will showcase Canadian musicians in intimate venues, featuring USS in Toronto, ON, on November 17th at the Mod Club and a solo acoustic show with Matthew Good in Calgary, AB, on November 25th at Cowboys Dance Hall and in Vancouver, BC, on November 27th at RIO Theatre.  Tickets are on-sale this Thursday, October 30th for all three shows for only $30 each at www.stubhub.com at 10 AM in each respective time zone.

"We are thrilled to be able to bring these intimate shows to music fans across Canada, which is a further illustration of our commitment to providing access to great content for our users," said Anthony Lipschitz, Country Manager for StubHub in Canada.  In an effort to continue to offer fans access to a more personalized and local music experience, the concert series comes on the heels of the release of StubHub's new iOS app, StubHub Music, in Canada this past September.  StubHub Music scans a user's iTunes library to recommend live events based on the user's music preferences and location.

StubHub's Next Stage Concert Series launched in the United States in May featuring five dates produced on its own to benefit school music education programs through the Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation.  Set in intimate venues, dates featured performances by emerging acts such as Lykke Li, Grouplove, Portugal. The Man and Trombone Shorty.  This series marks the first time StubHub is ticketing its own self-produced concerts.
