Germany's B2X Care Solutions Buys Apple Service Provider The Service Solutions [DealCurry (India)](DealCurry (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) German customer service solution provider B2X Care Solutions GmbH has acquired Mumbai based Apple authorized service provider, The Service Solutions Private Limited for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition announcement comes along with $19 Mn funding to B2X from Earlybird Venture Capital. Post the deal which makes B2X an authorized Apple Inc's service provider in the country, TSS outlets will be rebranded as B2X Care Solutions and B2X seeks to leverage on the expertise of TSS to transfer its existing SMARTBAR model into multi-brand service and retail stores in India. The founder Sreevathsa Prabhakar will serve as the MD of the new entity that would be the epicenter for operations in India and Middle East for B2X. Founded in 2009, TSS offers Service support for Apple Products at authorized locations (19 operational locations), selling accessories for Apple products, Apple Protection Plans and Sale of Apple product. Apart from being the authorized service provider for Apple, TSS also provides managed care services to smartphone manufacturers including @Micromax_Informatics_L, D-Link, HCL Infosystems, Voltas Limited, Fly Mobiles, and AnyData Technologies. Based out of Munich, B2X serves the $25 Bn market opportunity managing customer services operations for phone repairs over 110 countries. The seven year old firm claims to have more than 10 million repairs and transactions annually on all technical levels. The India mobile phone market stood at 63.21 Mn units in the June quarter recording a 5% growth over the previous quarter, while the smartphone market in the country grew by 84% in the same period.
