ACT-IAC Announces 2014 Partners Program Graduating Class of Future Government and Industry LeadersFAIRFAX, Va. --(Business Wire)-- The American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC (News - Alert)) today announced the successful completion of the 2014 Partners program by the 18th graduating class of future government and industry leaders at the 2014 Executive Leadership Conference (ELC). "The Partners program is a very unique leadership development experience for select rising leaders from both industry and government by the very nature of the collaboration, communication, and interaction required," said Joe Dawson, 2014 Partners program Industry Chair. "This year's class of graduates was challenged on multiple levels throughout the program as they learned, shared, and exercised mastery of leadership skills both expected and required of those serving government at the Senior Executive Service (SES) and company office levels." The ACT-IAC Partners program is the government IT community's flagship executive development program for leaders in both government and industry. The program selectively pairs 16 government and 16 industry professionals for a nine-month period. The goal is to prepare these leaders for their roles at the SES and company officer levels. It also enables participants to walk in their counterparts' shoes to explore a greater understanding of government and industry management roles and responsibilities.
After successful completion of the Partners' program, alumni continue their development through the ACT-IAC Fellows program, an exclusive network of over 700 government and industry executives. Applications for the 2015 Partners program available December 3, 2014. ACT-IAC also announced that applications for the 2015 Partners Program will be available beginning December 3, 2014. The highly competitive program requires candidates to submit an application and be nominated by their respective agency or company. Each application is reviewed by a panel of senior government and industry executives who evaluate candidates based on their professional leadership accomplishments and potential for future advancement.
