Vodafone Ghana picks two CIMG 2013 Awards [Ghana News Agency]

(Ghana News Agency Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Accra , Oct 24, GNA - Vodafone Ghana picked two awards at the just ended 25th Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) Awards held in Accra.

The awards were the Telecommunications Company of the Year 2013, for its excellent customer service, continuous innovation and unmatched customer experiences, as well as its unique strategic marketing insights.

Its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, HealthLine, picked the TV Programme of the Year 2013 award, for its exemplary CSR focus on health for all Ghanaians and for its endeavour to close the doctor-patient gap in Ghana.

The Vodafone HealthLine initiative enjoys massive viewership nationwide as it educates Ghanaians on important health issues and sponsors treatment for patients who need urgent medical attention but cannot afford the cost.

Harris Broumidis, Chief Executive Officer of Vodafone Ghana, expressed his appreciation to Vodafone employees and all consumers.

"It's certainly great news that we have been recognized for delivering on our brand promise, empowering our customers and giving them real value," he said.

He said the awards were a manifestation of the hard work put in by Vodafone employees in satisfying customers, given how competitive the Ghanaian telecom industry had become over the past few years.
