Canyon Gate's Golf Event Brings in $5K for Associa CaresRIO RANCHO, N.M. --(Business Wire)-- Canyon Gate, an Associa company, recently held its Chipping for Charity golf tournament and raised $5,000 for Associa Cares to benefit families who've experienced a crisis at their home. "We were so excited to see such a great turn out and such generous donations for a worthwhile charity," says Canyon Gate Vice President Samantha Hunt. "Right now Associa Cares is helping out families in Mexico affected by Hurricane Oldie, and it's nice to know exactly where the contributions are going." The Chipping for Charity event took place in September at Club Rio Rancho and featured a field of 30 golfers including community members, vendors and employees. The afternoon included a round of golf, putting and long drive contests, awards banquet and raffle prizes. Organizers say next year's event is already in the planning stages and set for August 2015.
