Prague bourse down, PX index 0.45 pct lower at 11:00


(Czech News Agency Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Prague, Oct 22 (CTK) The Prague Stock Exchange (BCPP) was in the red this morning after a growth on Tuesday, and the headline PX index stood 0.45 percent weaker at 934.90 points at 11:00, according to the bourse's results.



Austria's Erste Bank and mobile operator O2 were not doing well while Czech bank Komercni banka, electricity company CEZ and petrochemical group Unipetrol were posting profits.

Erste Bank was the worst performer, down 2.8 percent to Kc493.30.


O2 lost 2.4 percent to trade for Kc267 per share.

Spirits maker Stock decreased by over 1 percent.

Unipetrol, which announced business results earlier today, added 3.6 percent to Kc132.10. Consolidated loss for Q1Q3 totalled Kc1.15bn, up from Kc706.1m loss in the same period last year. Sales were 28 percent higher at Kc95.3bn. In Q3 alone, Unipetrol made a profit of Kc1.4bn.

Like on Tuesday, CEZ is gaining, rising by 0.47 percent to Kc581.50.

Komercni banka rose by 0.21 percent to Kc4,730.

Most other shares traded on the Prague market were motionless in morning trade.

The Czech crown currency weakened to the euro and the US dollar, the server Patria Online has reported.
