United States : OIT sets to offer Microsoft Lync instant messaging service [TendersInfo (India)](TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) UT s Office of Information Technology declared that it is planning to make the Microsoft Lync instant messaging client available to students, faculty, and staff. Lync provides productivity tools for group collaboration including instant messaging, Lync-to-Lync voice calls, and video conferencing. Users are able to access Lync from either a desktop or a mobile device. The desktop program for Windows and Mac is available from both the OIT software download site and the Office 365 software manager.
