Philippines : SMART launches LockByMobile mobile anti-fraud security service [TendersInfo (India)](TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Smart e-Money (SMI) has announced the launch of a mobile-based, anti-fraud security service dubbed LockByMobile . SMI is the digital financial services subsidiary of Philippine mobile operator Smart Communications. With the service, card users can lock and unlock their ATM, prepaid, debit and credit cards directly from their smartphones. The service is structured to fight the rising number of fraud cases involving automated teller machines (ATMs) and credit card transactions. The mobile application can be downloaded through Google Play or Apple Store. Card issuers can get the service through smartphones provided by any mobile network operator in worldwide. With the LockByMobile service, cardholders can lock or unlock the account by transaction or by channel. The locking by transaction allows a cardholder to set an amount threshold and limit the types of merchants where the card can be used, along with only allowing certain countries and currencies.
