ISOThrive Raises $1.4 Million to Accelerate Market Entry

ISOThrive LLC, a new food and dietary supplement company and a leader in the effort to improve the health of the microbiome, recently completed a $1.4 million round of private investment. The funding, provided by leaders in innovative food products, dietary supplements, marketing and financial services, will be used to support clinical studies and product manufacturing scale-up.

"This round of investment provides the capital we need to complete studies and begin to scale our manufacturing so we can enter the market," said Jack Oswald, CEO of ISOThrive. "We have a break-through product and are on track to enter the market in 2015."

ISOThrive has staked out an exceptional position in the food and dietary supplement market, focusing on a hard science based approach to proving the beneficial health impacts of its products in an ndustry frequently characterized by lax standards.

In the past, a traditional food supply of natural, raw and fermented foods was a source of nutrition for beneficial bacteria in the microbiome. Today's highly processed, refined food is often devoid of such nutrients, leading to an underperforming microbiome. Additionally, widespread use of antibiotics and antibacterial soaps and lotions has reduced the overall populations of beneficial bacteria. While adding more bacteria (e.g. yogurt, probiotics) may be helpful, what's more important is feeding the ones you already have so that they thrive.
