Forum to probe cyber security [Gulf Daily News (Bahrain)](Gulf Daily News (Bahrain) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) MANAMA: The first ever Cyber Security Summit 2014 opens today in Bahrain with technology guru J Bernie Rice as the conference chairman. The summit is being held under the patronage of Central Informatics Organisation director-general for information technology Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa. The event organiser, Roshcomm's chief executive M A Sridhar, said he expects to host the largest yet gathering of information technology (IT) security and risk management gurus and thought leaders in the region, during the three-day event at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, Residence and Spa. "Mr Rice is the co-chief executive and director of Impervio Technologies, which is engaged in the development of cognitive scripting encryption systems that thwart hacking attempts to decrypt data. "His illustrious background in the field of IT has positioned him among the world's leading thinkers in information technology and related fields," Mr Sridhar added. Mr Rice said he was looking forward to presenting his ideas and sharing his thoughts with the delegates on the key topics of organisational adaptability to the changing environment. "The conference theme is also very relevant to the current security breaches and threats and its financial impact that are being witnessed around the world," he added.
