2600hz Announces New Telecom Innovations and Partner Website at KazooCon

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) October 17, 2014 On October 6-7 2600hz hosted KazooCon, its second annual telecom conference in San Francisco. Kazoo is the Unified Communications platform created and managed by 2600hz that enables telephony providers to deploy rich voice and data networks at the enterprise level. KazooCon featured presentations, demonstrations, and breakout sessions from telecom providers hailing from around the world. The event displayed the work of the Kazoo community, what they had accomplished over the past year, and where they see the industry moving.

The first day of KazooCon was devoted to Kazoo's technical functionality, as well as how easy it is for clients to customize the platform to suit their specific needs. In the opening keynote, attendees heard 2600hz CEO Darren Schreiber discuss the future of 2600hz and Kazoo. They were then treated to a deep dive of the components that drive Kazoo, what the company is doing with 2600hz Mobile, how to build a Monster App, and how to build a WebRTC phone directly from an attendee's computer.

During the afternoon session, attendees participated in three hours of breakout demos. These demos included Kazoo features and functionality, such as Encryption, Call Handoff, Google Cloud Faxing, Pivot, AutoProvisioner, and Range Network's mobile network integrating with Kazoo's platform.

The second day of KazooCon featured a discussion of the business behind Kazoo and how to best deploy the platform. 2600hz COO Patrick Sullivan and CTO Karl Anderson presented from both the business and engineering side of Kazoo. Attendees learned about telecom tax from Joseph Bowser of Innovista Law, provisioning from James Lyons of Quik.is and WebRTC from Ryan Pfeffer of Sendhub. At the end of the day, participants heard about the past and future of mobile networks from Ed Kozel of Range Networks, SMS from Alex Kinch of Ziron and deploying Kazoo on a global scale from Dayton Turner of Voxter.

During KazooCon, 2600hz released its new partner portal, http://partner.2600hz.com/. This new website will enable potential 2600hz partners to view a wide range of products and better access resources online.

KazooCon was generously sponsored by Quik.IS, Range Networks, Voxter, Ziron, Sonic.net, OrangeFab, Polycom, and Semper Fi Communications. Without these sponsors, KazooCon would not have been possible.
