Taiwan Province of China : ACER partners OCTON to expand BYOC solutions into telecom field [TendersInfo (India)](TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) In order to expand its Build Your Own Cloud (BYOC) solutions into the sphere of telecommunications, Acer has entered a new partnership with Octon Inc., a major software company for multimedia-business collaboration & communications and contact center solutions for business and service provider. Acer BYOC will consolidate its computer hardware technology and cloud services for the new C&C (Computing and Communication) cloud era, going forward. Since Acer held a premier of its BYOC solutions in May, it has brought together over 20 different industry partners to cooperate and generate value together. The partnership will see Acer and Octon developing a set of solutions called abPBX plus, a BYOC-based multimedia private branch exchange (PBX ) system, to meet current and future needs of businesses with a series of cost cutting, performance boosting solutions that enhance flexibility and lower communication barriers. Acer Honorary Chairman and Chief Architect of Acer BYOC, Stan Shih, said : "Acer has 38 years of computer hardware technology knowhow.
