immixGroup Expands Cybersecurity Technologies Program

Through this program, immixGroup provides government agencies, systems integrators, solution providers, and value-added resellers (VARs) with rapid, reliable access to an unmatched array of enterprise technology products from more than 80 cybersecurity vendors.

immixGroup has aligned and expanded its cybersecurity product catalog to map to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Framework for Improving Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity (v1.0, February 12, 2014). NIST's Framework presents a set of cybersecurity activities, desired outcomes, and applicable references that are common across the U.S. government and critical infrastructure sectors. It presents key cybersecurity outcomes that are helpful in managing cybersecurity risk and consists of five concurrent and continuous functions: Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, and Recover.

Through this alignment, immixGroup's program will simplify the introduction of complex cybersecurity technologies to government to improve cybersecurity risk management strategies and strengthen the resilience of our nation's networks.

The expanded immixGroup program offers expertise and solutions in such critical areas as: -- Continuous Monitoring -- Identity Access Management and Access Control -- Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) -- Data Loss Prevention (DLP) -- Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) -- Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) -- Advanced Threat Detection/Protection -- Malware Analysis and Remediation immixGroup also has made significant strategic investments in the following areas to evolve its Cybersecurity Technologies program: -- New Product Brands: immixGroup's cybersecurity line card now features more than 80 large and emerging software and hardware manufacturers, with more than a dozen new vendors added in the past three months.

Recent additions include Tanium, Click Security, Shape Security, Ixia, Hexis Cyber Solutions, FireEye, Insider Spyder, Secunia, WatchGuard, eccentex, Avecto, SpectorSoft, and Thursby Software.

-- Integration with Adjacent Technology Categories: Reflecting the interconnection between cybersecurity and government initiatives in Big Data and Analytics, Cloud Computing, Enterprise Mobility and others, immixGroup has expanded its capabilities and vendor portfolio to offer additional products, services, and support in corresponding categories.

-- Personnel Investments: immixGroup recently named industry veteran Chris Wilkinson to the newly-formed position of Senior Director, Market Development, and promoted Sohale Razmjou to Director of Cybersecurity Technologies. Wilkinson will lead the extension of immixGroup's cybersecurity model into adjacent technology categories, attract new vendors, and foster technical fluency across the organization. These promotions follow the hiring of Ray Miles as Systems Integrator Alliance Manager to deepen relationships with federal systems integrators around the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) contracts, through which immixGroup provides cybersecurity products to 16 prime contractors. immixGroup also recently hired distribution executive Bob Laclede as Vice President, Channels, with a focus on expanding and supporting immixGroup's network of 800+ channel partners, including businesses with demonstrated expertise in providing cybersecurity solutions.

-- Contract Access: In addition to acting as a source of supply on the DHS CDM program, immixGroup was recently awarded two new Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP) V contracts to provide access to cybersecurity solutions to NASA centers, all federal agencies, and contractors. This award follows the addition of the Air Force Network- Centric Solutions-2 (NETCENTS-2) NetCentric Products contract. This growing list of contracts, in addition to the company's existing GSA IT70 Schedule contracts, Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs), and Enterprise-Wide Agreements (EWAs), provides government agencies, systems integrators, and channel partners with a range of options for sourcing immixGroup's portfolio of cybersecurity products.

-- Strategic Capabilities: To assist cybersecurity vendors and their partners in servicing their government customers and growing their public sector business, immixGroup has developed several new initiatives, including: a cybersecurity market sizing capability with extensive data on addressable markets for technology companies and projected spending within specific government agencies; two October marketing events focused on the CDM program; and a cybersecurity content track at its Government IT Sales Summit in November. The company also has strengthened its Trusted Supplier program, which guarantees the authenticity of products sourced from immixGroup to minimize the risk of counterfeit products, and its Emerging Cybersecurity Technology program, which accelerates the growth of vendors entering the public sector market.
