Okandan appointed as Deputy CEO of Mobily [Saudi Gazette, The](Saudi Gazette, The Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Serkan Okandan JEDDAH - ETIHAD Etisalat (Mobily) has appointed Serkan Okandan as deputy CEO of the company. The position was created in order to support the company's daily operational works. Engineer Khalid Bin Omar Al Kaf, Managing Director and CEO of Mobily, welcomed Okandan to Mobily family and wished him success in his new position to contribute with the rest of the colleagues in achieving the aspirations of the company and its customers. Al Kaf said the introduction of this position comes as part of Mobily's new trend toward becoming an ICT player and in continuation to the ongoing transformation process. Okandan joined Etisalat as the Group CFO in January 2012. Apart from the Group CFO position, he is currently representing Etisalat as a Board Member at its operations in Pakistan, Morocco and Nigeria. Okandan is a graduate of Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Bosphorus University in Istanbul, Turkey. Since 2006, he was appointed as Group CFO of Turkcell where he led the finance function of a publicly quoted company having operations in Turkey, Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Apart from the Group CFO position, he was the acting CEO of Turkcell's operations in Ukraine during 2010 and representing Turkcell as a board member at its domestic and international operations. - SG (c) 2014 The Saudi Gazette.
