Sabah Almoayyed to lead PineBridge Investments board [24X7 News Bahrain Online]

(c), the regional arm of the leading global multi-asset-class investment manager announced the appointment of Sabah Khalil Almoayyed as an independent Chairperson to its board of directors and Anthony Mallis as Vice Chairman.



Almoayyed, former General Manager and Executive Director of Eskan Bank, and Mallis, former Chief Executive of Securities & Investment Company (SICO), both bring expertise in financial services and extensive experience in the Middle East.

PineBridge Investments Middle East headquartered in Bahrain and covering the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey, is investing in real estate and private equity across the region.

Ms Almoayyed, who has more than 30 years of expertise with international, investment and commercial banks, sits on the board of various financial institutions, universities and social organizations.

Most recently, she was General Manager and Executive Director of Eskan Bank. Ms. Almoayyed also served on the Board of the Sovereign Wealth Fund, Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company. She is also a Board Member of the Middle East Advisory Board of the American University of Beirut (AUB) – Business School, and sits on the boards of a number of trade, education and training committees, including the Higher Education Council in Bahrain. Prior to joining Eskan Bank, Sabah was acting CEO of Ahli United Bank in 2004, making her the first woman in the Gulf to hold such a senior banking role. Currently, she serves as Independent Director of Ebdaa Bank. Sabah serves as a leading figure at the Bahrain Bankers' Society and the Supreme Council of Women in Bahrain.

Mallis has over 34 years of international banking experience and recently retired as CEO of SICO, the Bahrain-based regional investment bank after 13 years at the helm. Prior to joining SICO, in 2000, Anthony was a Partner in a London-based private equity firm focusing on the Middle East.
