(AllAfrica Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) is partnering with Coscharis Technologies Limited, a foremost indigenous computer engineering firm on reverse engineering.

Reverse-engineering is the process of taking a piece of software or hardware, analysing its functions and information flow and then translating those processes into useful purposes for mankind.

In the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the parties recently at the headquarters of NASENI in Abuja, NASENI shall establish and nurture appropriate and dynamic science and engineering infrastructure base, for achieving home initiated and home sustained industrialisation through the development of relevant processes, capital goods and equipment necessary for job creation, national economic well-being and progress.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NASENI, Engr.(Dr.) M.S. Haruna said Coscharis Technologies Ltd and NASENI have agreed to collaborate to achieve a common goal using existing capacity within the parties to develop mass critical skills by promoting the adoption and application of Advanced Manufacturing Technologies (AMT) in tertiary institutions.

Engr. Haruna also said the synergy would involve the deployment of developed skills for the production of selected standard parts and components within some of the tertiary institutions in the country, apart from facilitating the transfer of the developed modern technologies to entrepreneurs for the rapid transformation of the Nigerian industrial sector.
