Transition Networks to Showcase New Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation Application at COMPTEL PLUS Fall 2014 Convention in Dallas, TX

DALLAS --(Business Wire)--

COMPTEL (News - Alert) PLUS Fall 2014 - Transition Networks, Inc., the fiber access technology expert, a wholly owned subsidiary of Communications Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ-GM: JCS), will be at the COMPTEL PLUS Fall 2014 Convention & EXPO, October 5-8, 2014, at the Gaylord Texan in Dallas, where the company will demonstrate its new dynamic bandwidth and service allocation app in Booth #313.

In addition, Transition Networks (News - Alert) Vice President of Product & Technology Development, Tom Savard, Ph.D., will be speaking in a panel session that takes place on Tuesday, October 7, from 2:30-3:15 p.m. The subject of the discussion is: "The Bottom Line: Maximizing Network Revenue."

"As the cost of maintaining and upgrading legacy networks rises, operators are looking for new services that reduce expenses and can be rolled out quickly," said Savard. "Our goal at Transition Networks is to develop solutions that enable service providers to seamlessly implement delivery of Carrier Ethernet 2.0 services that are transparent to customers and that maximize network profits."

The new dynamic bandwidth allocation app from Transition Networks allows telecom customers, using an iPad or other mobile device, to program the network on-demand. It is an example of how carriers can extend the capabilities of Transition Networks' ConvergeTM EMS product to custoers, using its fully integrated REST API.

The Converge platform is an MEF (News - Alert) CE 2.0 standards-based, fully integrated carrier-grade solution that enables service providers to compete effectively by managing network interface devices and access switches for Carrier Ethernet 2.0 applications.

Converge helps carriers increase revenue, grow services and improve customer satisfaction by enabling them to easily monitor and troubleshoot issues, while reducing the complexity of configuring and managing their networks.

Transition Networks will be demonstrating the dynamic bandwidth allocation app in Booth #313 throughout the show. Conference attendees are invited to meet the Transition Networks team, view the mobile app demo, learn about the company's full suite of products, and attend the October 7th presentation by Dr. Tom Savard.
