Philippines : CLOUDFONE, INTEL, GLOBE declare launch of CloudFone Epic 7.0 tablet [TendersInfo (India)](TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) CloudFone Chief Executive Officer Eric Yu declared that CloudFone has joined hands with Intel and Globe Telecom to bolster its market share for tablets and smartphones in the Philippines. The newest CloudFone Epic 7.0 Intel-powered tablet has been introduced by CloudFone, Intel, and Globe Telecom. This is the first local tablet brand powered by Intel to be introduced with a postpaid plan from Globe. CloudFone Epic 7.0 features dual core Intel Atom Z2520 processor in 1.2GHz, 8GB of storage, 1GB of RAM and will be able to support external drives like Micro USB 2.0 and Micro SD. It is available exclusively for free at Globe mySuperPlan 499, complete with a CloudFone Excite 400dx handset and Bluetooth keyboard. The postpaid plan consists of 100 MB for data traffic, in addition to minutes for voice calls and SMS to national number, all-month access to Gmail, Yahoo mail, and Evernote, and 10 GB of Globe Cloud storage.
