NEC Appoints Kevin Hooper Executive Vice President and Head of Enterprise BusinessIRVING, Texas --(Business Wire)-- NEC (News - Alert) Corporation of America (NEC), a leading technology integrator providing solutions that improve the way people work and communicate, today announced the appointment of Kevin Hooper as executive vice president. In this expanded role, Hooper will lead NEC's Enterprise business, which includes product and service development, channel and direct sales as well as delivery and support operations for NEC's robust portfolio of technology-based solutions designed for a broad base of enterprise customers and vertical industries. He previously headed the direct sales and delivery operations as senior vice president of NEC Enterprise Solutions. Since joining NEC in November 2012, Hooper has applied his extensive proven experience and expertise in technology, sales and business development to deliver high-powered solutions and drive new growth in strategic markets, such as cloud services, big data analytics and biometrics. Hooper came to NEC with more than 20 years of business development and sales leadership experience at Hewlett Packard and IBM. At HP he served as VP of HP Networking Sales and HP Growth Accounts, and at IBM was VP of business partner strategy and drove multi-billion dollar revenue streams in these roles. Hooper has a B.S. in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Sussex, England, and an M.S. in Engineering and Operations Research from the University of Massachusetts.
