DiskStation DS415+ solidifies Synology NAS family [T-break Tech (Middle East)]

The DS415+ is successor to the DS412+ and is powered by award-winning OS DiskStation Manager. The DS415+ features new quad-core 4-bay box design and is an apt NAS solution for centralising data backup across various platforms. In addition to the quad-core CPU, the device is also equipped with 2GB DDR3 RAM. The DS415+ is house for huge storage with four drive bays combined with external storage using the built-in USB 3.0, USB 2.0 and eSATA ports. With dual LAN ports you are rest assured of network capabilities in-case of device’s downtime.


In terms of performance, the DS415+ delivers an average 228.04 MB/sec reading and 233.51 MB/sec writing speed under RAID 5 configuration in a Windows environment, which is almost 50 percent improvement over its predecessor, the DS412+ under same conditions. The DS415+ also features DiskStation Manager (DSM) 5.0 – an intuitive web-based operating system providing the device a host of applications for better productivity and offering a new level of multimedia experience.
