Solutions FCU Eases Impact of Data Breaches, Maximizes Member Service with EFT Source's Card@Once®NASHVILLE, Tenn. --(Business Wire)-- Solutions Federal Credit Union implemented EFT Source, Inc.'s patented instant issuance solution, Card@Once®, to minimize the impact of data breaches by quickly delivering replacement cards to members. EFT Source (News - Alert) is a provider of turnkey card programs and personalization services for ATM and debit cards for financial institutions. With more than $22 million in assets and based in Elmira, N.Y., Solutions FCU - like many other financial institutions - was impacted by the numerous data breaches earlier this year. In response, the credit union began exploring ways to reduce the costly delays associated with traditional delivery of replacement cards. After recommendation from Covera, a provider of debit, credit and ATM solutions, Solutions FCU selected Card@Once and implemented their instant issue card program in less than 60 days. The credit union can now deliver fully functional, replacement cards onsite and is better prepared to respond to potential data breaches in the future. When a member requests a new or replacement card at the branch, Card@Once securely transfers the data from the branch location to EFT Source, where it is immediately processed, converted into an encrypted print file and returned to the branch electronically. Card@Once then encodes the data and quickly prints a ready-to-use, permanent debit card that can be used right away. Card@Once is also equipped to print EMV-ready chip cards. The Card@Once program - which is PCI (News - Alert) DSS compliant - enables Solutions FCU members to self-select their PIN at the branch location and eliminates additional steps required for card activation. Onsite PIN selection maximizes cardholder convenience and reduces the risk and expense of sending PIN mailers through the mail.
