United States : NEW $7M global headquarters in Berks County opened by Software firm [TendersInfo (India)]


(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Gateway Ticketing Systems Inc. may have outgrown its corporate headquarters site in Boyertown however it didn t stop the company from deciding to stay in Berks County and launch a new facility. The site has 86 employees, with room to expand to 120 employees and extra land for additional expansion.



Gateway constructed a larger and more modern facility in neighboring Colebrookdale Township and officials celebrated the occasion with a ribbon cutting.

Michael Andre, president and CEO of Gateway said, In Boyertown, that office could easily had fit into this conference room . We have a new home we can finally call our own.


The $7 million building is a 42,000-square-foot, two-story structure on 24.5 acres with modern architectural features and amenities that comprise dual electric-car charging stations, 300-gallon saltwater aquarium, fitness room, large cafeteria offering free drinks, motorcycle parking and indoor bike storage.

The site in addition provides plenty of large windows for natural light and has multiple updated workstations, conference spaces, collaborative spaces and private offices.

The company, which commemorate a groundbreaking for the project in July 2013, provides ticketing technology solutions for entertainment venues, passenger transportation companies and nonprofit organizations nationally and internationally, with 300 million Gateway tickets sold yearly. The company s software can be found operating in 42 nations; customers comprise Hershey Park, Crayola Experience in Easton and the San Diego Zoo.

Gateway leaders advertize its employees as a main source of the company s success as it marked its 26th year in business.

Peter Grumblatt, founder said, We all have that feeling of renewal and renewed energy . It came from you. It s going to take us to our expansion.

Grumblatt said that the new headquarters is attracting new businesses to Berks County, and the company s move is rippling out into the community and benefiting the local economy.

State Sen. Bob Mensch said, The economy is the one thing that ties us all together . We all benefit when the economy expands and grows.

Hollenbach Construction Inc. of Boyertown built the design-build project while Muhlenberg Greene Architects Ltd. of Reading designed the exterior and Ludgate Engineering Corp., also of Reading, was the engineering firm.

M&T Bank and the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority provided the funding The Greater Berks Development Fund in Reading assited facilitate and guide Gateway in purchasing the loan from PIDA.

Andre said Nina Bohn, chief financial officer of Gateway, served as the project lead. He said Bohn oversaw the construction phase of the project and convinced the company that it could financially take on the project.
